‘Twas the day before Christmas,
And all through the town,
People hustled and bustled
To spread Christmas around.
From Main Street to Pomeroy,
From east and to west,
We all came together
To make Christmas the best.
With lights all a’twinkling,
And music sung loud,
The town of Hill City
Has much to be proud.
With sharing and caring.
And good deeds by all,
The people of Hill City
Answered St. Nicolas’ call.
From visiting the sick,
And giving to the poor,
Hill Citians gave time,
Presents, money, and more!
There was so much giving
There was so much love
That St. Nick sure must smile
Tonight as he passes above.
So we thank the good people,
My wife, kids and I,
For all of your kindness
This holiday time.
And we wish all of Hill City
To all the good people right here
A very Merry Christmas
And a happy New Year.
